A Message from Our Director
Welcome to Liberty Star. If you are reading this, you are looking for a special place for your son or daughter. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. I would like to share what this space and educational project mean to our team.
First, I want you to know that I am Alexia’s mother. She is an eight-year-old girl, full of joy, and we share a very close bond. When Alexia was born, I could not have left her in anyone else’s care without finding it difficult. That personal experience inspired Liberty Star: a place where every child can grow, explore and develop their full potential, and where we truly listen to each family and get to know each child as a unique person.
I began by saying that I am a mother because it helps me understand families, whether this is your first child or not. I am also an early childhood educator with more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and school leader. I have worked alongside children and families through both stages of early childhood education.
That experience has shown me that every child learns in their own way. A good education respects each child’s pace, builds on their strengths and sparks their natural curiosity. With this in mind, we created Liberty Star and our own SHINE approach. It puts each student at the centre of learning: there is no single plan for every child, because each child deserves a plan of their own.
SHINE creates meaningful experiences shaped around children’s talents, interests and ways of expressing themselves. This supports their development while respecting who they are. We want learning to feel like an exciting adventure, with creativity, exploration, independence and emotional well-being woven into everyday life. We also want every parent to feel at ease, knowing their child is in a safe and caring place.
Earning that trust takes commitment, hard work and responsibility. I invite you to join our school community and become part of the Liberty Star family as we watch your child grow. Thank you for wanting to know us. I am always here to answer your questions.

Meet the Team
Meet the people you entrust with what matters most.
Clara specializes in caring for babies and has extensive experience in the first stage of early childhood education. She brings a sensitive, attentive approach to the earliest years and understands how much each small step matters.
Her energy and lively personality help create a warm, cheerful and engaging classroom. Children feel safe, supported and encouraged to explore. Clara connects with babies through calm, play and the everyday moments that help them feel secure.
She is the steady, caring presence you want beside your baby: experienced, attentive and full of renewed enthusiasm for every child.
Ivonne is one of the educators in the Liberty Star family. She brings empathy, dedication and a deep commitment to her work. With patience and enthusiasm, she supports every child and turns each new challenge into an opportunity to learn and grow. Her creativity, care and positive spirit help children feel valued, loved and safe.
Daniela has a degree in Early Childhood Education and sees teaching as much more than giving lessons. It means guiding, caring for children and celebrating every small step they take each day. Her gentle, approachable nature helps create a calm, happy place where children feel safe to explore and grow.
One of Daniela’s strengths is teaching English. She speaks naturally with the children and supports them as they learn numbers, colors, seasons and many other ideas in both English and Spanish—even from age two.
She is also confident with technology, which helps her stay connected with families and share children’s progress and special moments as they happen.
Her daily goal is simple: help every child enjoy learning, grow in confidence and discover what they can do in a warm, positive environment.
Technology and Multiple Intelligences Help Every Child Discover Their Talents
Liberty Star uses Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences as a foundation for our educational approach. We recognize that children learn and grow in different ways. Activities and experiences that engage a range of abilities help students discover their unique talents and strengths from an early age.
From 4 months, we support children as they explore, play and discover in a safe, stimulating environment that nurtures cognitive, emotional and motor development during the first stage of early childhood education.
